Carolina del Rivero started dancing at the age of 6, and throughout her career she has practiced different dancing techniques. She studied ballet at the world-famous Teatro Colon (the most renowned opera house in Latin America) and later Modern Dance at the famous “Taller de Danza Contemporanea del Teatro San Martin”. She discovered the tango in 1995 and, since 2000, has traveled around the world giving workshops and exhibitions. She has taken part as a master teacher and dancer in the “Congreso Internacional de Tango Argentino” (C.I.T.A)--the world's largest annual tango event--since 2001. Applying all her artistic knowledge from other dances, she brings style and elegance to the tango. Her profound understanding of the technique and dynamics of the dance, and of the woman’s role in it, make her one of the most renowned teachers and performers in the world of Argentine Tango.
Donato Juárez is one of the most talented of the new generation of tango dancers in Argentina. Musical, elegant, precise, and driven, Donato teaches tango as he dances it: with energy, passion and sensitivity. From his hometown of Mar del Plata in Argentina, he has been part of a group of enthusiastic young dancers who have continued to tirelessly explore the intricacies of this dance. Donato has been invited to international tango festivals in the United States, Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, Europe (Italy, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Greece, Switzerland, Finland), and Mexico and has performed in many theaters in Argentina.
As dancers, Carolina and Donato are known for their technical and interpretive quality. Their combination of musicality, elegance, and precision make them one of the most original tango couples dancing today. As teachers, they transmit sensitivity, energy, and passion in their classes. The worldwide popularity of their classes speaks to their ability to share their talents.
Carolina and Donato have designed the classes from Friday to Sunday for dancers of all levels to grow progresively over the 5 workshops. In their 30+ years of tango experience, they have been at the forefront of the evolution of tango and are excellent at helping their students understand how traditional tango shapes more modern movements. The progression of their classes will feature this evolution. So, while we are also offering classes a la carte, we believe your experience will be more fulfilling and effective if you take all of the classes.
